Frieda A. Nemoy, 89, of Binghamton, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2007, after a short illness. She was predeceased by her husband, Abraham, and her daughter, Estelle Nemoy. Frieda is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Charney and Robert Oppenheim of Binghamton, and grandchildren Michael and Kristina Oppenheim of Litchfield, New Hampshire, Elaine and Shai Mandel of Jerusalem, Israel, and Heather and Jonathan Douek of Saint Louis, Missouri; and 10 great-grandchildren. Frieda lived many years in Syracuse before retiring to Binghamton. She was a member of Beth David Synagogue. Funeral services will be held 12:30 p.m. Sunday, December 9, 2007, at Beth David Synagogue, 39 Riverside Drive, Binghamton. Interment will follow services in Upper Beth El Cemetery, Syracuse. Shiva will be observed at the Oppenheim residence through Friday morning. Maariv service will be held 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday at the shiva home. The family respectfully refuses flowers.
