Eric H. Lavine, 68, died peacefully early Sunday morning with his family by his side. He had been a life resident of Syracuse, born December 14, 1947 to Sanford and Harriet Lavine. Eric was a proud veteran of the US Army, and was a devoted volunteer with the Disabled American Veterans. He was the founder, and owner of Veterans Office Interiors, and a member of Temple Adath Yeshurun.
Eric was predeceased by his wife Marie; His family includes his children, Matt (Amanda) Lavine, Aaron (fiancé Ashley Stachurski) Lavine, and Hava Lavine; grandchildren, Elliot, Isaac, and Benjamin; his former wife, Norene Lavine; his brother, James (Carolyn) Lavine; and his sister, Margery (Peter) Lawrence.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 20, at Sisskind Funeral Chapel. Friends may visit with the family immediately prior to the service on Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the funeral chapel, 3175 E. Genesee Street. Burial will be in Beth El Cemetery. Friends are invited and welcomed to visit with the family at Aarons home after the funeral on Thursday, Friday from noon - 5PM, and Sunday from 2-6PM
