Dorothy Brenner
Dorothy Brenner of North Miami Beach, Fla., died Saturday morning at home after a long illness. She was born in Syracuse and moved to Florida 11 years ago. Before retirement she was a buyer for Witherills Department Store for 40 years. She was a graduate of the Syracuse Normal School. She belonged to Temple Beth El, Ort, Hadassah, B\'nai Brith, and Sisterhood of Temple Beth El. Her father, Hyman Brenner was one of the founders and president of Temple Beth El of Syracuse. He died in 1972. She is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Faye and Sidney Schwimmer of North Miami Beach, and several cousins. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Ginsburg-Maloff Funeral Home, 4901 Jamesville Road, DeWitt. Rabbi Neal Turk will officiate. Calling hours will be 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Upper Beth El Cemetery.
