January 30, 2012 Rose Fox, 97, died Monday evening at Menorah Park with her children by her side. Born in Poland, Rose was a survivor of the Holocaust. She had been a resident of Syracuse for most of her adult life. She was a sales associate for the Addis Company for many years where her customers valued her honest and genuine advise. Rose was a former and founding member of Shaarei Torah Orthodox Congregation, Temple Beth El and for the past several years had been a member of Temple Adath Yeshurun. She was a valued member of Na Amat, the seniors at the JCC where she was well know for her fiercely competitive game of Mah Jong, and the classes she taught about Yiddish. Her husband Morris of blessed memory died in 1987. Survived by her children, Linda and Jerome Fine, and Allen and Sheila Fox; step-daughter, Florence (Marcel) Horowitz; her grandchildren, Lisa, Steven, Amy, Dana, Matthew and Irene; and her great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Sisskind Funeral Chapel. Friends may visit with the family immediately prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral chapel, 3175 E.
