Barney Kassel, 90, of 5100 Highbridge St., Fayetteville, died yesterday at the Plaza Nursing Home after a short illness. A resident of Syracuse for more than 70 years, Mr. Kassel. was the former owner of Kassel Auto Parts, 1212 Teall Ave. before his retirement in 1947. He was an elder in Temple Beth El and a member of its mens club. Surviving are two sons, Sanford of Sanford, Maine, and Louis Kassel; two daughters, Mrs. Samuel Newell of Fayetteville and Mrs. Sidney Miller of Hollywood, Fla.; a brother, Phillip Kassel; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 tomorrow a.m. at the Birnbaum Funeral Chapel, 1909 E. Fayette St. Rabbi Arthur Morgenstern and Cantor Harold Lerner officiating. Burial will be in Beth El Cemetery.
