Myra (Blank) Bornstein
December 23, 2010 Myra Bornstein, 76, of Derry Township and formerly of Syracuse, NY, passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2010 in the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. She was born on February 20, 1934 in the Bronx, New York to the late Joseph and Rae (Monkofsky) Blank. Myra was raised in Miami, Florida where she graduated from Miami High School. She and her husband, Abraham, lived their married lives in Syracuse, NY. Myra and her husband were self-employed antique dealers. She attended Temple Ohev Sholom, Harrisburg, was a member of AMIT Women and Questers. She volunteered with many organizations throughout her life and most recently at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. She was an avid bridge player. Myra was the widow of Abraham Bornstein. Surviving are two daughters, Marsha I. Kaye and her husband, Dan of Hummelstown, Joanne I. Ciardullo of Hummelstown; four grandchildren, Renee Ciardullo, Andrew Ciardullo, Allie Kaye and Lauren Kaye. She was preceded in death by her brother, Leo Blank. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 26, 2010 in the Chapel of Beth El Cemetery, with Cantor Sharon I. Kunitz officiating. Burial will be in Beth El Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Hetrick-Bitner Funeral Home, 3125 Walnut Street, Susquehanna Township.
