Stuart J. Spevak, 65, died Wednesday, May 4, 2005, at the Veterans Hospital in Syracuse. Mr. Spevak, a life resident of Syracuse, was employed at Charneys Mens Clothing and Roth Brothers Smelting until his retirement due to illness in 1998. He served in the Army from 1961 to 1970 as a staff sergeant stationed in Germany, Vietnam, and Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, D.C. Mr. Spevak was a member of Temple Beth El, their Mens Club, BNai Brith Bowling League, and the Jewish War Veterans Onondaga Post 131. Survived by his wife, Estelle Wallace Spevak, son, Phillip; parents, Seymour and Miriam Spevak; and a brother, Gerald Spevak. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Birnbaum Funeral Chapel. Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral chapel, 1909 E. Fayette Street. Burial will be in Beth El Cemetery.
