April 17, 2009 Miriam Spevak, 90, died Friday, April 17, 2009, at St. Josephs Hospital. A life resident of Syracuse, Mrs. Spevak was a former member of Temple Beth El and a past president of its sisterhood, and Temple Adath Yeshurun. She was also a member of Bnai Brith womens organization. She was predeceased by a son, Stuart, in 2005. Survived by her husband of 70 years, Seymour; son, Gerald; daughter-in-law, Estelle; grandson Philip (Alicia). Services will be conducted on Sunday April 19, at Birnbaum Funeral Chapel, 1909 E. Fayette St. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the chapel. Contributions may be made to Temple Adath Yeshurun, the Arnold Freeman Fund. Birnbaum Funeral Service Inc.
