Shirley Stover
Shirley Stover, 90, a nearly lifelong Syracuse resident, died Wednesday in Weinberg Campus in Amherst, NY. The youngest child of Libby and Leon Stover, Shirley earned her bachelors degree from Syracuse University. After working briefly in the fashion industry in New York City, she returned to Syracuse where she was a longtime employee in finance at Bristol-Meyers. Shirley had two passions in life: playing golf with her friends and lighting up the room with her smile. She was predeceased in death by her sister and brother, Yetta Herr and David Stover. Surviving are several nephews and nieces: William Herr, Ellen (Gene) Warner, Brian (Fredda) Stover and Toby (David) Cannon. Graveside service and burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 28, 2016 at Beth El cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Contributions may be made to the Cancer Research Fund 06950, 750 E. Adams St., Syracuse, NY 13210.
