Gary L. Meren, 56, died very unexpectedly Saturday evening. Formerly of Syracuse, he had moved to Brookline, MA, this past June. He was a 1972 graduate of Nottingham High School. He was a sorter with the U.S. Postal Service at Taft Road for 30 years. Survived by his mother, Celia; his sisters, Bobbi Hope and Barbara (Hanukah) Moalem; and seven nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sisskind Funeral Chapel. Friends may visit with the family Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the chapel, 3175 E. Genesee St. Burial will be in Beth El Cemetery.
