Samuel Rosen, 75, of 519 Hillsdale Ave. died Saturday at his home. He was a life resident of Syracuse. He was a co-founder with his late brother, Sidney, of the Rosen Brothers Furniture Store on South Townsend Street and Marcellus Street. He retired in 1975. He was a member of Temple Beth El and the Syracuse Boys Club Old Boys Association. He was a veteran of World War I. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sophie Patricia Ruth of Syracuse; a brother, Hyman Rosen of Syracuse; a sister, Bessie Sherman of Syracuse; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Birbaum Funeral Chapel, Rabbi David I. Sheinkopf officiating. Burial will be in Beth El Cemetery.
Calling hours are 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral chapel, 1909 E. Fayette St.
