April 17, 2005 Sheldon Cantor, 71, former resident of New York City and Syracuse, died Sunday, April 17, 2005, in Newton, MA. Mr. Cantor was vice president of American Banknote Corporation until his retirement in 2004. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War then graduated from New York University in 1957 and received his masters from Syracuse University in 1959. Survived by his wife, Fredette Potter Cantor; sons, Lawrence and Jay; daughter, Barbara Rosen; and two grandchildren, Jaclyn and Ryan Rosen. Funeral Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Birnbaum Funeral Chapel. Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel, 1909 E.Fayette Street. After the funeral Tuesday, from 7 to 9 p.m., friends may call at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Klein in Fayetteville. Burial will be in Beth El Cemetery.
