June 23, 2010 Jeanne Adelle France Gordon, 87, formerly of Syracuse, died June 23, 2010. Mrs. Gordon grew up in Syracuse and married Leonard Gordon, also of Syracuse, at Temple Adath Yeshurun on June 11, 1944. She then joined her husbands family as an active member of Temple Beth El, where she was a lifetime member of their sisterhood. She was also a lifetime member of Bnai Brith Women. Mrs. Gordon was the vice president and co-founder of Gordon\\\'s Bradford Hills Super Duper. She retired in 1983 and spent several years as a snowbird in Royal Palm Beach, FL, before moving permanently to Boynton Beach, FL, where she lived until moving to Atlanta, GA, in April 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Leonard Gordon. She is survived by her daughter, Michele Gordon Mandel; son-in-law, Mark Mandel; son, Dr. H. Paul Gordon; her sister, Leonore France Spector; grandson, Andrew Mandel; granddaughters, Samantha Mandel and Hilary Gordon; many nieces and nephews. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, June 28, at Birnbaum Funeral Chapel, 1909 E. Fayette Street. Friends may visit with the family from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the chapel. Burial will be in Beth El Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Temple Adath Yeshurun, 450 Kimber Rd., Syracuse, NY 13224. Birnbaum Funeral Service Inc.
