October 20, 2015 Annette Gold, 88, died Tuesday morning at Menorah Park. Born in New York City to Moe and Lillian Ronis, she was a graduate of Averett College with a major in music and a concentration in piano. She met and fell in love with her future husband, Dr. David Gold, of blessed memory, while he was serving in the Army Air Corps. They were married in 1949 and settled in Stamford, CT. They raised their daughters and enjoyed a good life. They were married for over 65 years. They loved traveling to Jamaica many times and had wonderful memories. Boating was a passion from the very beginning of their life together. They owned several boats over the years, cruising on Long Island Sound, heading to Florida on the intercoastal, and through the locks to Canada. Upon retiring they spent half their time in North Palm Beach, enjoying their terrace overlooking the intercoastal and watching the boats go by; the other half of the year they came back to Stamford. They moved to The Oaks of Dewitt in 2007. Annette had a wonderful love and appreciation of nature\'s beauty, dogs, Frank Sinatra, and singing along with all of her old favorites. She took great pride in always looking her best. She and her beloved Dave sailed through life together, always partners regardless of calm or stormy seas. Her family includes her daughters, Ellen (Bob) Tartakoff of Jamesville, NY, and Joanne (Jodie Shapiro) Gold of Florence, MA; and her grandchildren, Daniel (Karen) Tartakoff, Joseph Tartakoff; and Sadie Gold-Shapiro. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Sisskind Funeral Chapel. Friends may visit with the family Friday, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral chapel, 3175 E. Genesee Street. Burial will be in Beth El Cemetery. Contributions may be made to The Employee Fund at Menorah Park, or Helping Hounds Dog Rescue.
