Victor "Vic" Ginsky, 86, died Tuesday at St. Josephs Hospital. Born in Cuba he had been a resident of Syracuse for most of his life. He was a proud alumni of SU, a veteran of the US Air Force, and a devoted fan of the Boston Red Sox. He was the CFO of Roth Bros. Smelting Co. His family includes his wife Carol of 56 years; their son Marc (Elissa) Ginsky; their daughter Jan Ginsky; granddaughters Hannah and Kaya; his sister Pauline Friedman; his niece Rene Kramer; and nephews Jeffrey Friedman, and Howard Friedman.
Funeral services will be at 3PM on Sunday, September 24 at Sisskind funeral chapel, 3175 E. Genesee Street. There will not be a calling hour prior to the service.
Shiva will be observed at the familys home Sunday from 7-9 PM, Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9.
Contributions in his memory may be made to the Jewish Federation of CNY.
