Charles Villency, 97, of Stamford, CT, died September 6, 2004. He was a reporter for various newspapers and publications including the Syracuse Herald-Journal from 1934- 1941. He served two and one-half years as an army reporter in England, France and Germany. Survived by his wife of 55 years, Mignon; their two daughters, Roxanne Rosenthal of Great Neck, NY, and Lynn V. Cohen of Stamford, CT; a daughter Dr. Ruth V. Small of Fayetteville, NY, by his first wife, the former Ruth Small who died in 1943; and four grandchildren. Predeceased by his brother Maurice Villency and two sisters, Ann Goodman and Etta Edelstein. A private burial was held at Beth El Cemetery, Stamford, CT.
