Robert Alan Zaleon, 53, of Syracuse, died Thursday, November 6, 2008, at University Hospital surrounded by his family. Robert had attended University of Buffalo before transferring to Syracuse University. He always took tremendous interest in his family, their activities and their accomplishments. Robert was predeceased by his father, Dr. Irving Zaleon, and his sister, Marion Zaleon Pearl. Survived by his mother, Phyllis Zaleon; sisters, Linda (Brook) Russon and Alice (Larry Sherman) Zaleon; brother-in-law, Dr. Robert Pearl; and his nieces and nephews, Kaitlin and Brett Russon, Pamela Sherman, and Joshua, Rachael and Arielle Pearl. Services will be conducted on Sunday, November 9, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Birnbaum Funeral Chapel, 1909 E. Fayette St. Friends may visit with the family Sunday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the chapel.
