Marvin Malikow, 82, passed away July 18, 2009. He was born in Springfield, MA, and lived most of his life in Syracuse, NY, before moving to Boynton Beach, FL, 20 years ago. He attended Syracuse University and served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. He established and operated the chain Upstate Vacuum Stores, Inc., and also C and S Distributors, Inc. He was a member of Philo-Mt. Sinai Lodge F and AM, Jewish War Veterans, Disabled American Veterans, Masonic Temple and the Shriners. He was a warm, caring and thoughtful man who was loved by all. He fought a long and courageous battle against a variety of physical ailments. He was predeceased by a daughter, Carol Zoe Malikow. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Evelyn (nee Friedman); daughter, Sharon (Richard) Martinez of Corona, CA; two grandsons, Andrew and Chad Martinez; his mother Katherine of Saratoga Springs, NY; three brothers, Joseph (Angela) of Oceanside, CA, Louis (Susan) of Saratoga Springs, NY, and Dr. Max of Syracuse, NY; and his sister Donna (Frank) Fusco of Charlotte, NC. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, 11115 Jog Rd., Boynton Beach, FL 33437.
